عنوان انگلیسی The Effectiveness of Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) on the Components of Addiction Prone of Male Junior High School Students
چکیده انگلیسی مقاله Background: Adolescence is one of the most sensitive stages in the tendency to use narcotic drugs, which can increase the likelihood of growth of dependence in adulthood. Therefore, the purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness of dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT) on the addiction prone components of male high school students. Materials and Methods: The present study was semi-experimental one with a pretest-posttest and a control group. The sample consisted of 60 male students from the 10th grade students of Tonekabon city studying in the schools of this city in the academic year 2015-2016. They were selected by multi-stage random sampling (cluster random sampling), and assigned to experimental groups and one control group. Experimental groups were subjected to dialectical treatment therapy in group for 12 sessions of 60 minutes. To collect data, the Addiction Prone Questionnaire in Iran Adolescents was used. Data were analyzed using multivariate covariance analysis in two stages of post-test and follow-up with a significant level of p < 0.05. Results: The results showed that dialectical behavioral therapy had a significant effect on some of the addiction prone components and did not affect other components. Conclusion: Based on the results of this study, it seems that by teaching dialectical behavioral therapy, students' readiness and tendency toward addiction can be reduced.
