The Role of Screening Program on Early Diagnostic of Diabetes in Yazd Azad Shahr |

Background: Diabetes is a multi factor disease of metabolic disorders, increasing of blood glucose or hyperglycemia. It can cause by secretion abnormality, insulin function or both. Sweet diabetic is most common disease and about 150* 1 05 people are suffered from its thought the world. It is predicted that it will reach up to 300*l06 till 2045 . Methods: A descriptive study using logical order in screening program for early diagnostic of diabetic was designed at Azad Shahr, Yazd, Iran. All referred patients were included and two blood samples taken to be examined for the rate of blood sugar and a questionnaire was completed during a 15 months . Results: The data showed that 2.5% of studied population had a history of previous diabetic, 69.2% were diagnosed as at risk group. When they were examined, 47.13% had normal FS, 21 persons were at risk and 33 persons diabetic. In total, 9.83% of population was suffered from diabetic . Conclusion: Diabetic in the studied population is a common health problem. So, health life style has to be considered by policy maker in health sector of this region . |
