Environmental Health Condition of Hamadan Province Hospitals in 2000 |

Background: Hospital health is release to all acts for making healthy environment in hospital to prevent the prevalence of factors that cause disease out of the hospitals. At present, hospital infections are the main result of these factors and one of the most important reasons of patients' mortality. This matter directly or indirectly causes considerable increasing of hospital costs and making hospitals' risks. So, it is important to keep the health conditions of hospitals' environment in a good condition for controlling hospitals' infections. The purpose of this research is to study the condition of environment health of Hamadan province hospitals. Methods: This is an observational descriptive study that was done in 17 hospitals in Hamadan province, Iran. The tool for collecting information is a questionnaire, including seven parts that were completed by an observer. Results: According to the results, the desirability rate of environment health in the hospitals was 75.06 ± 12.92. The highest grade was for shahid Beheshti hospital (86.6) and the lowest grade was in Ghaem hospital with 39.3. Conclusion : The result of this research shows that the environment health of the hospitals is not in a good and standard condition. |
