عنوان انگلیسی The Relationship Between Social Support and Internet Addiction in Nursing Students: The Role of Mediating Alexithymia
چکیده انگلیسی مقاله Background: The purpose of this study is to investigate the relationship between social support and Internet addiction in nursing students: The role of mediating alexithymia. Materials and Methods: It was a creational research based on structural equation modeling specific regression equation; in this study 361 nursing students in Gorgan in year 2018 (178 girls and 183 boys) are chosen in random sampling method. All of them filled Zimt social support scale (1988), Torento mediation alexithymia scale (1988) and Kimberley Young Internet addiction scale (1996). Results: The findings from regression equations show that there is a direct relation between social support and Internet addiction and an indirect relation between social support and mediation alexithymia. There is positive and significant relation between alexithymia and Internet addiction. There is a negative and significant relation between social support and alexithymia. In the present study, regression structural equation modeling was utilized to analyze the collected data, SPSS 18 and Amos 23 soft wares were used for the analysis of the data. Conclusion: Finally, model forecasting variables predict 0.42 variance in Internet addiction. The results of this study emphasized the importance of the role of  social support as well as  the mediating role of alexithymia variation on students' extreme Internet tendencies that can provide applied methodical to advisers and trainers in order to improve the psychological state.
